Jonah McKeown is an award-winning multimedia journalist, born in London and raised in Missouri. Jonah graduated in May 2018— earning a near-perfect GPA— with a Master’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. In December 2017 he wrapped up a year and half working as an assistant producer, reporter, and afternoon news anchor for KBIA, mid-Missouri’s National Public Radio affiliate station. During that time, he also worked as a videographer for the Global Programs office at the Missouri School of Journalism.
Jonah graduated magna cum laude with Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and a minor in Film Studies from Truman State University, and was honored as 2016’s Outstanding Undergraduate in Communication: Journalism. He studied abroad at the University of Helsinki in Finland in Spring 2015 and over the course of his journalism education has worked internships around Missouri, in Chicago, and in Denver. Jonah most recently worked for a semester on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. as a videographer for Catholic News Agency , and earned the distinction of being a White House Correspondents’ Association scholar for 2018.
