Jonah McKeown is an award-winning multimedia journalist, born in London and raised in Missouri. Jonah is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He most recently wrapped up a year and half working as an assistant producer, reporter, and afternoon news anchor for KBIA, mid-Missouri’s National Public Radio affiliate station. During that time, he also worked as a videographer for the Global Programs office at the Missouri School of Journalism.
Jonah graduated magna cum laude with Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and a minor in Film Studies from Truman State University, and was honored as 2016’s Outstanding Undergraduate in Communication: Journalism. He studied abroad at the University of Helsinki in Finland in Spring 2015 and over the course of his journalism education has earned internships in Missouri, Chicago, and Denver. Jonah is currently working on Capitol Hill as a videographer for Catholic News Agency in Washington, D.C.
